Goal takes a look at the biggest transfer news and rumours from the Premier League, La Liga, Serie A and beyond
Asensio going nowhere
Marco Asensio will not be leaving Real Madrid this summer, according to AS.
The 22-year-old was not a full-time starter at the club last season, leading to rumours he could look to head elsewhere in search of regular starts.
But Asensio is only thinking about continuing on with the Blancos, and the club have no plans to entertain offers for the Spain international.
Athletic bid €20m for Azpilicueta
Chelsea defender Cesar Azpilicueta wants to move back to Spain, with Athletic offering €20 million (£18m/$23m) for the 28-year-old, reports El Gol Digital.
Azpilicueta has become a fixture for the Blues since arriving in 2012 from Marseille, but is ready to return to his homeland.
And Chelsea are willing to let Azpilicueta go, should they secure the services of Joao Miranda from Inter.
Tottenham make €26m offer for Plea
Tottenham have bid €26 million (£23m/$30m) for Nice striker Alassane Plea, according to RMC Sport.
The 25-year-old has developed into one of the top strikers in Ligue 1, scoring 21 goals in all competitions last season.
Nice are preparing for Plea's departure, sounding out Las Palmas striker Loic Remy as a potential replacement.
Martial, Morata & Icardi on Juve wish-list
Juventus have placed Anthony Martial, Alvaro Morata, and Mauro Icardi atop their summer wish-list, reports Tuttosport.
With Emre Can having arrived to reinforce the squad's central midfield, the Serie A champions have now turned their attention toward improving their attacking options.
Southampton agree £16m Elyounoussi fee
Southampton have agreed a £16 million (€18m/$21m) fee for Basel forward Mohamed Elyounoussi, according to Sky Sports.
The 23-year-old scored 14 goals in 45 appearances last season, and can play either as a winger or a striker. He will be expected to help fill the void left by Dusan Tadic, who is moving to Ajax.
Elyounoussi has been capped 16 times by Norway.
Everton & Southampton move for Vestergaard
Everton and Southampton have both made bids for Borussia Monchengladbach defender Jannik Vestergaard, reports ESPN FC.
The 25-year-old has become a fixture in Germany, having also represented Hoffenheim and Werder Bremen in the Bundesliga.
West Ham United and Watford are also looking into bidding for the Danish international, who made his country's World Cup squad but has yet to feature in Russia.
Valencia interested in €30m Meunier
Valencia are hoping to land Paris Saint-Germain right-back Thomas Meunier, according to Super Deporte.
The Belgium international has hinted he is open to leaving the French champions after his playing time diminished in 2017-18.
The 26-year-old, who is currently starring for his country at the World Cup, would likely cost around €30 million (£27m/$35m).
Juventus willing to meet €20m Godin clause
Juventus are looking for a new centre-back and are willing to meet Atletico Madrid star Diego Godin's €20 million (£18m/$23m) release clause, according to Calciomercato.com.
With Mehdi Benatia and Daniele Rugani potentially leaving the club, the Serie A champions have targeted the 32-year-old Uruguayan as a possible replacement.
Atletico won't let Godin leave without a fight, however, and are set to begin discussions over a new contact with the defender.
Bournemouth close in on £12m Brooks
Bournemouth are nearing the £12 million (€14m/$16m) signing of Sheffield United midfielder David Brooks, claims the Daily Mail.
The 20-year old Wales international was a fixture for the Blades last season, scoring three goals and adding six assists in 33 appearances.
Everton eyeing Rebic
Everton are keeping an eye on Croatia star Ante Rebic, according to the Mirror.
The Eintracht Frankfurt man scored nine goals in 28 appearances last season, and has helped his country to a perfect start at the World Cup.
Rebic is also being watched by Tottenham.
