Troy Deeney advice to Ben Foster proves to be wrong

When your captain dishes out instructions you usually listen but Troy Deeney's advice to Ben Foster proved to do more harm than good.

Foster gave away a second half penalty when he wiped out Hazard as the Chelsea attacker was bearing down on goal.

The Hornets custodian hoped to make amends by saving Hazard's penalty but the former Manchester United stopper dived the wrong way.

When you look closely at a replay of the penalty you will notice Deeney told Foster to dive to his left-hand side as Hazard was taking his run up.

Forwards often try to offer advice to their goalkeeping team-mates but on this occasion Deeney proved to be wrong.

Before the penalty, Chelsea had taken the lead through Hazard before Roberto Pereyra netted a leveller for Watford in first-half stoppage time.

Watford were unlucky not to be awarded a spot kick of their own as David Luiz bundled over Deulofeu inside the penalty area but his appeals were waved away by referee Martin Atkinson.
