While PSG suffered a disappointing defeat in midweek to Liverpool in the Champions League, reports in France say things are even less secure behind the scenes.
According to Le Parisien, Tuchel and Henrique have remained at loggerheads for weeks, with president Nasser Al-Khelaifi caught in the middle.
PSG's primary midfield target in the summer was French World Cup winner N'Golo Kante, who last week admitted the Ligue 1 champions made contact.
However the Chelsea midfielder had 'no urge' to leave Stamford Bridge, and said: 'There were other clubs' interests but after talking to Chelsea, things were clear. The club is counting on me and I feel good.'
PSG have been further hamstrung in midfield by veteran Thiago Motta retiring from playing last summer, becoming a youth coach at the club instead, and Marco Verratti's injury.
As a result of a lack of midfield numbers, Tuchel was forced to play a midfield three of Marquinhos, Adrien Rabiot and Angel Di Maria - none in their preferred roles - for the 3-2 defeat at Anfield.
This did not impress PSG captain Thiago Silva. When asked what he made of the midfield set-up after the game, he said: 'We must ask Antero. I do not want to answer this question.'
Tuchel is also unhappy, and has a history of falling out with club heirarchy. He left Borussia Dortmund in May 2017 after a tense 12 months in which he fell out with CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke over transfers.

At a big club like PSG, the owner can do whatever he wanted to do. So if you can perform as what he want then you can leave. Tuchel maybe want midfielder as to strengthen his tactical, but the owner think Tuchel must use all the players at the club. Rabiot also not only good, but maybe lack of time play but Tuchel need to support him. So, in this case, better for Tuchel to look back his players and fully utilize all of them to make the team become better.

Tuchel gives me serious Villas Boas vibes. A know it all/nerd type that knows football but needlessly over complicates things. Can't connect with the players and management above.

Emery was Not such a bad manager after all!!!! And he won the triple - but CL was too big for a club playing in a tier 3 league. Doesn't prepare you - not mattering how good a team you have.

Problem is their front 3 is world class and every other position would struggle to finish In the top 10 in the premier league

Struggle to think who exactly would instill a decent work ethic into that lot. The front three, in particular Neymar, are untouchable. Last season he was picking and choosing when to play and the manager had no answer.

Another checkbook manager! In his disposal this dirty oil money and two supper stars plus very high class players in at every spot, and still complaining. January is just 3 month, so very close to sacking.

Tuchel seems to be hard to hard to work with. He fell out with BVB management as well.

I get the feeling he can't control his team, too many egos. I feel like psg need a stronger character. there's no way someone like klopp, pep, sarri, simone and many other top managers would take his players playing the way they did against Liverpool. Not chasing or pressing them, no desire to try and win the game, taking it as easy as they would against one of their french farmer opponents. Not that Liverpool didn't deserve the win as they made psg look very average and Liverpool weren't even at their best. It would have been a lot worse if the front 3 were playing as well as we've seen they are capable of. Someone else said it on here earlier he seems like a villas boas character. I don't think they can win the champions league with him at the helm. I get the impression the players just don't respect him enough. I also think the lack of playing competitive matches every week will affect psg the English, Germans and Spanish teams are playing a much higher level of opponent every week

Exactly why Tuchel left Dortmund

Thiago Motta was arguably their most important player and they simply haven't replaced him, so I can understand Tuchel's frustration

You can tell Tuchel doesn't have social skills. There is a reason why he left Dortmund.

You've spent all your money on only NEYMAR and MBAPPE.u need a central midfielder to challenge the elite.

Marquinhos was ridiculous against Liverpool but we can understand, the bloke is a central defender !! PSG played without midfield against Liverppol hence why they lost. I understand Tuchel, the sporting director is guilty and should be fired.

Hahaha. PSG do not have the money to even attempt to make any reasonable bid for Kante this summer and maybe even next summer. They spent all their money on Neymar and Mbappe and would probably have wanted to structure any bid in a ridiculous manner which no reasonable team will accept e.g. bidding £100 million with payment over 10 years. Little wonder PSG could only bring in average players like choupo moting and bernat - these players can play in the league which psg will win easily again but there isn't enough quality on the bench for them to change games for psg. I don't see psg winning champions league any time soon because of lack of depth. Their front line can only take them so far and if any team controls the midfield against them like Liverpool did that front 3 will be stifled for the most part. Cavani especially isn't a creator or a beast like costa who can occupy multiple defenders and create space for others - he needs feeding the chances.

Chelsea will not sell Kante. . They don't have reason to do so. And if considered, he would be very expensive. . Considering GFNP
