Liam Rosenior encouraged Cole Palmer to keep ignoring outside noise after proving he can be "unstoppable" with a hat-trick in Chelsea's 3-1 win over Wolves on Saturday.
Palmer, who has struggled with injuries this season, struck three times in the space of 25 first-half minutes as Chelsea made it four wins from as many Premier League games under Rosenior.
The England international covered his ears after slotting home a 13th-minute penalty, which was awarded after Matt Doherty felled Joao Pedro.
Palmer added a second from the spot after Joao Pedro was shoved over by Yerson Mosquera, and he completed his treble by firing Marc Cucurella's cutback into the roof of the net.
It made him the first player in Premier League history to score three first-half hat-tricks, having previously achieved the feat against Everton and Brighton.
When asked about Palmer's celebration, Rosenior said: "When you’re at a club like this, with the huge demands and the scrutiny, which I’m starting to learn myself, you have to block out the noise and you have to remember what a good player you are.
"I love working with him, he loves being here, and hopefully now he can really enjoy his football between now and the end of the season because it will help us on the pitch.
"We changed the system a little bit for the first time in the first half. Some of our football was everything I wanted to see, and he was a part of it.
"We know what a world-class player he is. He's played a lot of football over the past year with not much rest, but when he's at his best, he's unstoppable. I'm delighted to be working with him."
Next up for Chelsea is the visit of Leeds United on Tuesday, and Rosenior, who became only the fourth permanent Blues boss to win their first four Premier League games, is hopeful of having captain Reece James available after another injury setback.
"He’s so close and he should be fit for Tuesday. Honestly, at the moment with the games that we’ve got, everything is day by day," Rosenior said.
"He’s really, really close. There’s not a major problem at all and it’d be great to have him available for Leeds on Tuesday.
"It’s just a knock, it’s a pain management issue. Reece was out running [on Friday] but it just wasn’t right, and it’s not right again.
"We’re still in the midst of a really, really difficult period of games with the amount of games that we’ve got. Hopefully, he comes back fully fit, fully rested for Tuesday."
