Arsenal transfer news: Kai Havertz has had a baby donkey named after him ahead of a transfer switch to Arsenal this summer

Speaking to Marca about Havertz, the Spaniard said: "Talent comes at a price, and at Arsenal we are always interested in youngsters with experience. I repeat, I'm not talking about players from other clubs, but in the case of Kai he has already shown a lot, including in the Champions League. He is a talented player, versatile and only 24 years old."

While things are still being prepared for the move, things haven't quite calmed down for the striker just yet as another unusual situation has sprung up. In a strange twist, it's the Donkey Sanctuary naming a foal Kai after star forward Havertz, following the revelation that he had an affection for donkeys.

As part of an announcement from the sanctuary, Havertz said: "I have followed the work of The Donkey Sanctuary for some time so when they got in touch to say they’d like to name a foal after me, I was delighted. Donkeys are such incredible animals, and I am very happy to give my name so this little donkey can help raise awareness of the importance of good donkey welfare, here and all around the world.”

For many, perhaps having a donkey named after them would come as an insult, but to Havertz that isn't the case as his love for animals shines through. Whether Kai the foal and Win the dog would get along at London Colney would be another question altogether though...
