Lets get this straight. Uruguay has no fault in this, they played well. The issue is the referee and VAR DID NOT demonstrate whether that WAS or WAS NOT a goal. You can say it is or it isn’t… fine. But you HAVE VAR available to 100% CONFIRM… and it was NOT used. Why not? Why surround the game in CONTROVERSY (taking AWAY from Uruguay’s performance) and just use VAR that was AVAILABLE? There have been many circumstances of controversy that supported bigger teams (Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay) throughout history and the controversy is that it does not seem to have changed even with VAR available
