Manchester United supporters couldn’t get enough as Virgil van Dijk registered an uncharacteristically poor performance as Liverpool narrowly avoided an upset against RB Salzburg in the Champions League.
Salzburg managed to pull a goal back before half time through Hwang Hee-Chan, who sent Van Dijk packing with a quick turn before he smashed his finish past Adrian.
The Austrian champions then went even further in the second half by scoring twice to pull level at Anfield. Takumi Minamino scored the first before Erling Haaland, who was brought on as a substitute, netted Salzburg’s equaliser from close range after Van Dijk was nutmegged for the cross.
But Manchester United fans were keen to highlight Van Dijk’s dodgy display…
