The Manchester United players were not entirely happy with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's decision to name Axel Tuanzebe captain against Rochdale, according to reports.
The decision was met with raised eyebrows outside the Red Devils' changing room, as the Norwegian had opted against handing the armband to Paul Pogba.
According to the Daily Mail, the decision was not met with 'universal approval'.
It was claimed that Solskjaer named Tuanzebe captain for sentimental reasons as he grew up in Rochdale as a child after moving to the town from DR Congo.
What's more, Tuanzebe has captained the Red Devils at every age group, including now the senior team, and has ambitions to get the gig permanently.
"Leadership is something that I admire in players," said Tuanzebe ahead of the game. "I've said in the past that I want to be United captain one day and I stand by that."

I remember Gabriel Jesus captained Thiago Silva, Neymar and co in a friendly, so what’s there to grumble about. You had better accept it and move on.

Who Are Those Unhappy Players?! Solskjaer Already Stated The Reason (More On Sentiment Ground) Why Alex Tuanzebe Was Chosen To Be The Captian And Tuanzebe Did Well For The Match. Don't Understand What All This Fuss Is About?! So Some Of The Players Were Not Happy About Solskjaer's Decision.., Guess What?! We Supporters Are Not Happy.., Really Not Happy With The Performances Of You Players.., The Results On The Pitch. So Go Deal With It!!! That's Way More Important Than Worrying About Who Get The Armband!!! RIDICULOUS!!! 😡😡😡

Pogba should never be given the arm band. He doesn't want to be in Manchester meaning he doesn't have the club in his heart. Why give him the arm band. Ole did nothing bad for me
