Tuttosport editor Guido Vaciago insists Max Allegri is upset with Friday's sacking by Juventus.
Allegri was axed 48 hours after winning the Coppa Italia final after clashing with Vaciago and sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli.
Vaciago said on Radio 24: "Allegri is very sorry for how it ended with Juventus.
"He imagined Juve-Monza with the Cup in hand, the tour of the pitch and the greetings of the fans, the best way to end.
"He is aware that he's been denied for a joke and it is something that disturbs him."
