Jorge Valdano believes that Zinedine Zidane sincerely opened up through his open letter, which served as a farewell to Real Madrid fans following his departure.
The Argentine legend explained that Zidane's feelings have been hurt and that the French coach attempted to externalise his frustration on several club decisions.
"I liked the letter," Valdano told radio show 'El Transistor'.
"It seems to me that Zidane was authentic. He says things of certain harshness because he gives me the feeling that the silence was hurting him.
"He is tired of the game of those offended and has given his point of view with great sincerity.
"He refers to the president, but also to other people of the club who have leaked information or rumours that have hurt him.
"I understand that he has not been sufficiently consulted by the club for the direction that they should take and that this made him feel sidelined from big decisions.
"I think that in this letter he has given much more than what we are used to hearing from Zizou."

To me he's amazing a leader who's blunt honest. I very much appreciate his stand. He's the opposite of gready managers who don't mind their jobs,
