Van de Beek to wear No.34 shirt at Manchester United in honour of Abdelhak Nouri

Donny van de Beek will wear the No.34 shirt at Manchester United to honour friend Abdelhak Nouri.

Nouri suffered a cardiac arrest during an Ajax friendly in 2017 which left him with permanent brain damage.

Van de Beek is the latest former teammate of Nouri's at Ajax to wear his number at their respective clubs.

Justin Kluivert at Roma, Amin Younes at Napoli, Philippe Sandler at Anderlecht, Kevin Diks at Fiorentina and Joel Veltman at Brighton all wear the No.34.
