Vardy trains in Spider-Man costume and pranks boss Claude Puel

Jamie Vardy was in the mood for fun on Thursday as he wore a full-body Spider-Man suit during a Leicester City training session.

The England striker gave Claude Puel a shock when he hid behind a bush before jumping out in front of the Foxes manager.

Puel seemed to take the joke well and was seen smiling in footage posted on Leicester City's Twitter account.

'We need our superhero,' Puel later told the media. 'He dressed up, and I think it was a good smile this morning.

'They had a day off yesterday and came back with a smile.'

Leicester visit Wolves in the Premier League on Saturday.

The Foxes sit comfortably in eighth place but have suffered back-to-back defeats — first to Newport County in the FA Cup, before falling to Southampton in the League.

Puel is the bookies' favourite to be the next top-flight manager to leave his post, with Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers linked with his position.
