Juventus' week went from bad to worse as they suffered a 2-1 defeat to Hellas Verona at the Stadio Marcantonio Bentegodi on Saturday.

The hosts raced into an early lead courtesy of a Giovanni Simeone brace, as Weston McKennie's late strike turned out to be a mere consolation for Massimiliano Allegri's side.
The deadlock was broken just seven minutes into the encounter, as Antonin Barak's effort was parried by Wojciech Szczesny straight into Simeone's path, and the Argentine made no mistake from close range.
There was nothing the Bianconeri could do about Simeone's second, as he picked up the ball just outside the area before lashing a fierce strike into the top corner.
The visitors reduced the deficit to one goal with ten minutes remaining, as McKennie fired home an unstoppable effort from just inside the box, however it was not enough as they slipped to another defeat following their 2-1 loss against Sassuolo on Wednesday evening.
Juventus sit in eighth place in the Serie A standings, and will be aiming to return to winning ways when they welcome Fiorentina to the Allianz Stadium on Saturday.
