Villarreal close in on Iborra signing

Leicester City have given Villarreal the green light to proceed with Vicente Iborra's signing in the January transfer window.

The 30-year-old midfielder no longer features in the Foxes' plans and the Yellow Submarine directors are now free to finalise the deal between the three parties.

According to Superdeporte, Iborra is already in Valencia to negotiate his transfer and the English club will seek to recover a fair part of the 15 million euros they invested on the player two years ago.

Villarreal are willing to raise their initial offer that included a loan move with a purchase option, while the team's coach, Luis Garcia has approved of the potnetial signing.
