Vinicius and Rodrygo's Brazilian beat

Football has placed Rodrygo Goes and Vinicius Junior on the same side of a balancing act, as if they could not play together.

The comparisons are tedious, but these two talents can now begin to get used to each other.

Being Brazilian and coming to Madrid at the same age means that there are bound to be parallels, the same isn't expected of them as Gareth Bale or Eden Hazard, but though they are both very different, their aims are the same.

With more data to look at, it is easier to analyse Vinicius' displays because he has had good runs of form and bad ones, whilst Rodrygo has started just one game in the Champions League and played only 43 minutes in LaLiga.

Physical condition

They are two very different players as Vinicius is stronger, preferring longer runs and with space he is able to be more disruptive like a force of nature.

Rodrygo on the other hand, prefers smaller spaces, using his short bursts of pace to make a difference.

Both players are technically talented and comfortable with the ball at their feet, their control is good although Rodrygo seems to be slightly better in this aspect and with more accuracy when making the final pass.

Vision

Rodrygo is more of a European style of player than Vinicius, he links up more frequently and reads the game better, often cutting inside in order to provide the final pass, helping a quicker adaptation period than his compatriot.

Finishing

Rodrygo has already scored for Real Madrid in pre-season and in LaLiga Santander, showing his composure in front of goal.

Vinicius has more power in his shooting but is not as accurate, with one goal and one assist from 406 minutes, maybe due to a lack of confidence which could be solved if Zinedine Zidane puts his faith in him.

Tactics

Vinicius, for the good and the bad, is more of an anarchist, finding it more difficult to contribute defensively, though he is improving on this.

Rodrygo has proven that he has better understanding with his team-mates and is very mature for his age, as he showed against Galatasaray as he dropped deep whenever needed.
