Former Spanish prime minister Mariano Rajoy has expressed his belief that Real Madrid prodigy Vinicius Junior will have a very successful career.
The 63-year-old politician and fan of Real Madrid also discussed the team's improvement in the last few matches, hailing the contribution of Karim Benzema.
"[Vinicius] is still very young, but I am sure that he will become a great player," he said during a gala organised by the Madrid Press Association.
"In the last three games, [Madrid] are playing well and they have recovered their form.
"I watched the match against Espanyol and [Benzema] scored two enjoyable goals.
"Before they criticised him and now they praise him, but this is life."
