Aaron Wan-Bissaka has been warned against a summer transfer to Manchester United by Crystal Palace legend John Solako, who fears the right-back could move too early and make the same mistake as Wilfried Zaha.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is looking to add young, exciting, preferably British, talent to his squad this summer and has already got off to a great start after it was confirmed that a deal has been agreed in principle for Swansea City's Daniel James.
There's plenty more work to be done, however, and the Norwegian is looking for a new right-back following the departure of Antonio Valencia, the dwindling form of Ashley Young and the inexperience of Diogo Dalot.
The M.E.N. understands that United have had a £40m bid for Wan-Bissaka rejected, with Palace's valuation of their Player of the Year thought to be far higher - though they are expected to come back in with an improved offer.
However, the extremely talented full-back has been warned against moving to Old Trafford this summer.
"I'm just a bit concerned with Aaron. It's been his first full season and it's been absolutely magnificent," Solako told TalkSport.
"He couldn't have been lying in bed and dreamed of a better debut season. He probably needs more games. It's too early for Aaron. He needs another season.
"I'm not surprised United have come in because they could probably get him cheaper and they think they need to do something now.
"You remember with Walcott and those types of players who came through at Southampton - even [Gareth] Bale or [Alex] Oxlade-Chamberlain - they came early and it took them years to find their feet.
"I don't know why teams don't buy them and then leave them with their club and loan them back for a season or two, just to get that maturity."
Solako also expressed his concern that Wan-Bissaka could follow in the footsteps of Zaha, who left for Manchester in 2013 but the move didn't work out and he was back at Selhurst Park a year later.
"He's got the world at his feet. But my only concern is that we had Wilfried Zaha leave at a young age and he didn't cope.
"He wasn't mature enough and didn't really settle in at Man United. He ended up coming back and has had the best spell of his career since he came back."

Let's get one thing correct here. When Zaha joined Man United Ferguson was at the wheel and had a plan for him but ended up getting coached by moyes who was not good to him on and off the pitch... Ferguson loved him and wanted him to play for united but moyes came in with his plans and Zaha was not part of em. What I mean is that bissaka has a huge chance because of the coach who wants him just like Zaha would have had if Ferguson was still his manager but not anymore since he retired before he could even begin his work with Zaha. Fergusons dream was big on Zaha and am sure even him was broken apart when he saw what Zaha was turned into and am sure he(Ferguson) is sorry for that otherwise bissaka should make up his mind and join the club if Zaha wants to come am sure they will welcome him too.

Ole Solskjaer is building his team on young and hungry for success players , and Bissaka fits in well , he will get the necessary support from the coach to withstand the pressure and achieve great things with Utd , his timing can't be better than now . Good luck Bissaka .
