Wayne Rooney has admitted he 'couldn't bear' to see Liverpool win the Premier League.
Having grown up as an Evertonian and also played for Manchester United, Rooney is struggling to come to terms with the fact that the Reds are competing with City to win the title.
The DC United forward told talkSPORT: 'It's a great reason to be out the country when those two are going head to head for the title.
'I hope Man City get over the line before Liverpool. I couldn't bear to see them win it, it would be a nightmare for any Evertonian.
'I remember in 2005 they won the Champions League and they're still talking about it now so it would be another 10 or 15 years of that!'

That's so unfair....Even Man United still live and brag about past glory. As a Chelsea Fan it will hate to see City retain the title again. The preimer league isn't like any other league where every season it's the same club that wins. it's tough. Actually it's now very sad π₯π₯ to only have two clubs compete for the trophy. At this point.... Chelsea, United, Arsenal and Spurs were supposed to be challenging for it not fighting for top 4!! I can only *hope* Liverpool can win this time..... it's been such a long time, they deserve it. Especially with Salah

Am a united fan,and prefer the reds lifts the trophy in the end,,,they have had a great season thus far,so they deserve the trophy...but its all in there hands of course.

well said pal. city have bought there way into winning the league . the same when United were the only club with money . plus they had Fergie who was bullying referees the lot. same as Chelsea they won nothing till they got took over buy the Russians. Arsenal spur and liverpool have not got that endless bottom pith of money . all fans just hate to see liverpool win it because there scared once we win once . we won't stop . kloop doing a great job . same as potticcie at spurs. wright arsenal aren't in it this year but they might be in it next year .the top 4 is getting harder to get into . and has never been so close. but in kloop we belive. we are liverpool YNWA warren dublin ireland
