Gabriel Jesus has said he is confident he can get back to scoring ways, despite not having found the back of the net in five matches and has told his teammates to 'wake up' following Arsenal's 1-1 draw to Southampton on Sunday.

The forward also admitted that Arsenal 'dropped their level' during the game at St Mary's, after Stuart Armstrong's second half goal nullified Granit Xhaka's early strike, to rescue a point for the Saints.
It is only the second time the Gunners have dropped points this season and Jesus expressed his frustrations over his own performance following the game, after he missed several chances on goal.

'I don’t know, I really don’t know,' Jesus said when pressed on what's causing his goal drought.
'If I know I can tell you! But the only thing I can do is keep trying, keep fighting, keep improving.
'Like I said, I am here to score goals, I am here to help the team with the goals. I understand that. Of course, the goals are coming back soon.'
The 25-year-old, who joined the club from Manchester City last summer, has scored five times in 14 appearances for the club across all competitions and failed to break that deadlock yesterday afternoon, despite having four shots on target.
One of those included a dangerous chance that could have put the Gunners 2-0 up in the match, but he was denied by Southampton goalkeeper Gavin Bazunu.
Despite the draw ending Arsenal's five-match winning streak and claiming that the London side should have come away with three points, the forward urged for calm among his teammates.
'Everyone is a little bit upset because we know we could have won the game and got the three points today,' he said. 'I think they played good, but we were better than them.
'We give them a lot of easy balls and then, like I said, we don’t score the goals with the chances we create.
'Now is the time, you know everyone is going to talk about us, about our performance, I just want to say to the team to be calm. We are going to come back strong, play our football, like we started the season, and everything is coming back to normal.'
While it was a disappointing result, Arsenal still top the Premier League table, two points clear of Man City, with Mikel Arteta's side having already proved they are the team to beat this season, registering wins big over Liverpool and Spurs in the last three weeks.
It's clear much improvement has been made at the Emirates since last season and standards are much higher, with Jesus expressing his deflation at what was a below average performance from his side.
'It’s disappointing, he said when asked about the morale in the dressing room. 'We are all upset with the result today because we know our quality, we know we could win the game today, the way we play.
'Of course we dropped a little bit our level. We have to come back. This league is tough, it’s difficult. Everyone is upset. Now is a difficult time I think, the difficult time is coming. Everyone has to be alert and then focus more.
'We have six games before we stop for the World Cup, so we need to come back stronger because that’s football. Sometimes you drop a little bit, but you have to realise and wake up. That’s what we have to do.
'I think everyone has the same games. We are trying to do our best to win the games, to win them as much as possible before the World Cup. Then after we come back strong again. So I think we dropped a little bit our level. We start this season amazing and now we drop.
'We still have time to come back, that’s the most important thing I think. We have to turn our minds and come back playing our game. Of course upfront me, B [Bukayo Saka], Gabi [Gabriel Martinelli] and everyone try to put the ball in the net.'
As the World Cup fast approaches, many players are turning their minds to Qatar, but it appears the Brazilian is wholly focused on performing for his domestic team.
'The only thing I know is I have to do my job here. I have to focus here and then, if they [Brazil] call me, I go and focus when the time is in the World Cup - not now. Now is focusing on here, Arsenal, my club.
'We are young and I am still young as well. So we have to be more focused. We created a lot today but we were not finishing good. I put me in that of course, because I had some chances today.
'I could have scored one or two - and then we win the game. That’s what I said, though, sometimes football is like this.
'We create, we play good, but you don’t score, you don’t win the games. It’s hard, it’s difficult, it hurts, but we have to realise and wake up and improve and come back.'

Partey played poorly. Lost out several times in his passing n interceptions. Can't understand why Odegard taken out instead of partly. also Tomiyadu understandably not comfortable at LBack. Overall I think Arteta was using wrong tactics.

The whole is Arsenal had 3 shots on target and this app wants us to believed Gabriel Jesus alone had 4 shots on target what a mess this app is
Shot towards the goal - but side netted. Shot towards the goal - but cleared by keeper Short towards goal - cleared by defender Short towards goal - missed the target These can't count on "On target" but they all count on shots

This stands for two past games Southampton and Leeds. It improved with PSV There is laxity... that feeling that this is an easy game. 3 grand opportunities, minimum, that I saw missed by Gab Jesus. The center back for Southampton was rough and unkind on him. All his pleas for foul were neglected by on field referee and the so called VAR. Ref was on one side. Partey passes were 70% to defenders, more of this is Tomiyasu. Partey misplaced some passes, robbed of possession more than twice. Saka was punished for being tripped down near the box. No one dared to check details between Ref and VAR. Yellow card for being a victim of rough play - does that make sense! Øedogaard was substituted when he was very much in high spirits to replace his fouled goal. That guy would retry to score than what we saw after their substitutions. If all chances were taken, that game would be 1:4 (Xaka, 1 penalty, 2 Jesus). But these are only dreams. Water under the bridge. We lost it on our striking force!
