'We won the game in the first 10 minutes' - Enzo Maresca's verdict on PSG win

"I have no words for the players. They all deserve this and it's a good moment," Enzo Maresca says after Chelsea's stunning 3-0 win over PSG in the Club World Cup final.

"For me, we won the game in the first 10 minutes. We set the tempo and we were very good at pressing them. The conditions made it hard to keep going but the boys did well.

"Of course I am very excited [about the future] but I'm more excited that we have three weeks off."

The Club World Cup has become the second trophy for Chelsea and Maresca in the last two months after the Conference League triumph.

Considering that they also finished in the top four in the Premier League, this is an outstanding first campaign for the Italian in charge of the Blues.

The players will now take a short well earned break following the very longest of campaigns, before returning in time to prepare for a pair of pre-season friendlies at Stamford Bridge, against Bayer Leverkusen on Friday 8 August and AC Milan on Sunday 10 August.
