Wout Weghorst has claimed he must be doing a good job at Manchester United after starting 18 consecutive matches under Erik ten Hag.
The 30-year-old arrived on loan from Burnley in a shock January move and has become an integral part of Ten Hag's side.
Weghorst has only scored two goals since his arrival, but contributed to the Red Devils winning the Carabao Cup last month.
The 6ft 6in forward has also earned praise from his manager for his selfless work for the team.
Weghorst told The Sun his continued presence in the team shows Ten Hag's trust in his contribution.
'That's a lot of matches and it shows the trust in me,' Weghorst said. 'It also shows that I am doing a good job for the team.
'That was the thing I wanted when I came here – to contribute and try and help the club to be successful to win trophies.
'We have one now. We have two more to go with the Europa League and FA Cup, and we want to get as high as possible in the table and definitely top four for the Champions League.
'So it just shows me that I am being part of it. And being part of us being successful and that appreciation, that's a good thing.'
Despite Ten Hag's praise and his consecutive run of starts, Weghorst has faced strong criticism during his time at Manchester United.
The decision to play Weghorst as a number 10, as well as a striker, has been criticised by pundits.
His performances for United could see Weghorst earn a start for Holland in their upcoming Euro 2024 qualifiers.
Ronald Koeman, who has returned to the job, believes Weghorst has the ability to start up front rather than come off the bench for his side.
'He is absolutely not a Plan B,' Koeman said, as reported by Voetbal International.
'In my first period that was the reason to choose Luuk de Jong and not Wout.
'But Wout has developed in such a way that he is a serious option. I see him as a striker, not as number ten.'
Holland will face France in their opening Euro 2024 qualifier on Friday, before hosting Gibraltar on March 27.

Truth is Weghorst ain't clinical in front of Goal but when it comes to keeping defenders on their toes, he does it better than Antony martial. I've watched games where Strikers are totally marked out that they contribute absolutely nothing in the game, but Weghorst is different. It's more like he's difficult to Mark out, thereby creating chances for other players. Keep up the good work Bro.

Strikers have got one main job. Score goals and hold up play. Do he have ability to do both? NO! So what's the praise for. I won't even sign him for the bench.
