Wembanyama jokes 'it's SHAME' that teammate Sochan loves Arsenal as he likes PSG

Victor Wembanyama is getting along just great with Spurs teammate Jeremy Sochan - except for the soccer team he supports.

The Frenchman revealed this week that he and the second-year player bond over their shared love over the sport, though he laughed they don't quite see eye to eye.

'We do talk football from time to time,' he told reporters. 'My team is PSG of course. But yeah, Jeremy was probably the first one to welcome me to the Spurs, even before I was drafted.

He added, 'We get along well, but it's a shame he's an Arsenal fan.'

Sochan was born to a Polish mother and American father in Oklahoma but spent much of his childhood in England.

He primarily grew up in Milton Keynes and later played college basketball for Baylor in the USA.

And the 20-year-old will have been happy with his team's performance on Saturday as the Gunners beat Burnley 3-1.

Wembanyama's favorite team impressed as well as PSG beat Reims 3-0.

The 7-foot-4 phenom was pictured with French star Kylian Mbappe earlier this year at the NBA Draft Lottery.

The PSG forward is apparently a fan of Wembanyama's as well, as he watched his final regular season game with Metropolitans 92.

The Spurs are 3-6 this season, with Wembanyama averaging 19.9 points per game.
