RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner has admitted he is currently at a crossroads in his career amid continued interest from elsewhere in his services.
Werner signed a new long term deal with his current employers back in August last year but speculation persists that he could be on his way out of the Bundesliga side.
“At this time in professional soccer there are two different variations. The first is to be part of a team like Liverpool or Manchester City. They have a good working team. The teams have also great coaches.
“But this is the question: do you want to go to that kind of team, because the situation is already that hard for each member and you want to be a part of it? That's one point you have to look at.
“The other side are teams which need some big changes, because they just won a few big titles, but they are not able to compete on the highest level anymore. For me Manchester United is one of these teams.
“So at this point of my career I'm asking myself: do I want to be part of a new team, to build up something new, or do I want to stay at my team and make something great?”
The recently turned 24-year-old has made 36 appearances across all competitions in which he has scored 27 goals and tallied no less than a dozen assists too.

Manchester United should only go for players that want to play for the team. If Werner feels Manchester United cannot compete on the biggest European stage, then he should go to other clubs. We are building. We are getting there, maybe slowly but assuredly. We will be a force to be reckoned with pretty soon. After all, there are many fishes in the sea. Manchester is Red! GGMU

Where ever you choose to play for next season, just get this fact clear; Come next season in the UCL, it is either you are playing for Manchester United or you are playing against us... the bottom line is that Manchester United will be in the UCL next season..

Manchester should go all and out for Kane who is tested and proven. Werner may live to rue this chance to join us. Let him be what he wants and achieve what he wants to. One thing for sure, Manchester will be great again, we are on the rise and it is evident for all to see

that's a bit harsh not only to United but also Chelsea because we're in the same boat. Maybe he should just stay in RBL if he isn't interested in Man United because they are progressing even without him

He said he is also thinking to be part of a new team on building which Manchester United is doing right now. To build a new chapter,a new challenge to his name;probably he wanted to join the reds

There is nothing wrong in what Werner said, be realistic guys. Every player wants to win trophies so it’s obvious that they analyse before making a decision. Once the decision is made it’s not easy to find a way out - Neymar & Coutinouh are best examples. It’s fact that currently United & Chelsea are clubs under building phase where as Liverpool & City are good enough to win so he makes a call weather to be part of building team or winning team. In a winning team there is a possibility of sitting on bench & building team might take time to win trophies 🏆 it’s not easy to make a realistic decision 🤔
