West Brom have appointed former Minnesota United boss Eric Ramsay as their new head coach, following the departure of Ryan Mason on Tuesday.
Ramsay, who has put pen to paper on a two-and-a-half-year deal with the Baggies, takes over a side who sit 18th in the Championship and 10 points adrift of the play-offs.
The 34-year-old arrives at the Hawthorns with experience of the English game, having been a first-team coach at Manchester United during Erik ten Hag's time in charge.
He joined Minnesota in 2024 and led the Loons to back-to-back MLS playoff semi-finals, while also achieving their highest finish of fourth in the Western Conference last season.
Ramsay took charge of 65 MLS matches during his time with Minnesota, winning 29 of those games (D16 L20), which equates to a win percentage of 44.6%.
"Throughout our recruitment process, Eric exhibited the qualities to lead and succeed in the world's most demanding football environment," said Albion chairman Shilan Patel.
"In his time as a head coach, his teams have been characterised by intensity, organisation, and adaptability – all critical for the sustained success and growth that we envision in the short and long term."
In 2025, Minnesota set club records for regular-season wins (16) and points (58), while only the Seattle Sounders (65), Los Angeles FC (73), San Diego FC (74) and the Vancouver Whitecaps (76) scored more goals than the Loons' 61 among teams in the Western Conference.
Ramsay will be joined at West Brom by his assistant at Minnesota, Dennis Lawrence, who was also a part of Mark Robins' backroom team during his time at Coventry City.
His first game in charge will be against second-placed Middlesbrough at the Hawthorns next Friday.
