West Ham have moved seven points clear of the relegation zone after beating Manchester United 1-0 on Sunday evening.
Match Report
The Hammers took the lead after David de Gea failed to stop a tame shot from Said Benrahma in the first half, with the Algerian forward catching him out with a shot from outside the box while under pressure.
Said Benrahma's tame, long-range effort in the first half should have been a routine save for the goalkeeper but despite getting a hand to it, he was unable to stop it from bobbling over the line.
Manchester United, beaten 1-0 by Brighton last time out and only a point ahead of fifth-placed Liverpool, appeared in control of the game before De Gea's mistake but could ultimately have lost by a greater margin, with the hosts dominating much of the second half.
David Moyes' side were denied what looked a clear penalty on the stroke of half-time when Victor Lindelof's handball went unnoticed by on-pitch referee Peter Bankes and VAR Stuart Attwell decided not to intervene.
The decision ensured Erik ten Hag's side remained in the game but West Ham withstood late pressure to claim a deserved victory which takes them to 37 points, easing their relegation fears in 15th place.
Manchester United, meanwhile, still have a game in hand on Liverpool, but their stuttering form has thrown the top-four race open.
Despite feeling that a number of decisions went against them, David Moyes' side help on for a vital three points, while United remain just a point ahead of Liverpool with one game in hand.

It’s always good to look at things with a just mind rather than been sentimental dislike or hate when the issue of Ronaldo raised a bar at Manchester United then I told a pal that Ronaldo is never the issue but those players failing to meet their own standard required from them he said I’m backing him bcoz I’m a fan imagine we terminate Ronaldo contract bring weghorst that I don’t think he has ever singlehandedly won us a match Rashford was inform but never even scored a hatrick for us martial occupying our hospital bed and sancho taken over social media post Fernandez and irregular performer our defense in shamble form but everything was on Ronaldo bco he wasn’t scoring every pass that comes his way but quickly did we forgot that last season it was his goals that led us to Europa league minus his contributions last season and let’s if we would in conference league or top 10 but it’s normal for human to forget the good deed and focus on the bad ones whereas this same guy lost a child and his girlfriend has like four miscarriage but not a single person talked about it which so shameful, ETH was suppose to even say something when he lost a child but instead he’s expecting to score in every game at 37yrs while the young ones haven’t even scored 10goals a season We all know this guys can’t make things happen it’s either we get them cleared up or we continue to dwell in failure while finding who to blame for our misfortunes

No one agreed, ten hang thinks he was clever let him face the reality
Do you think Ronaldo would have done anything to help United at the moment?...i bet with him we wouldn't even be at the top 4 currently....we would be fighting for 6 or 7th positions
