Goals from Andriy Yarmolenko and Aaron Cresswell earned West Ham their second successive home win against Manchester United, who lost striker Marcus Rashford through injury in the second half.
Match Report
Yarmolenko opened the scoring on the stroke of half-time, sending a low finish past David de Gea following patient build-up play involving Mark Noble and Felipe Anderson.
Cresswell sealed all three points for the Hammers in the second half with a superb free-kick into the top right-hand corner.
Chances were at a premium in a cagey first half at London Stadium, with Noble's deflected effort from Pablo Fornals' free-kick the closest either team came to a breakthrough before Yarmolenko's strike.
Juan Mata should have levelled for the visitors two minutes into the second half but failed to hit the target after connecting well with Andreas Pereira's low cross.
The result lifts West Ham above the Red Devils in the table, while Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side remain three points off the top four and without an away league win since February.
Match Events
14' Yellow Card! Ogbonna booked
Ogbonna receives the first booking of the match for a late challenge on Pereira as he surges into some space on the right wing.
36' Noble's shot was confiscated by De Gea
Fornals clips a free-kick toward Noble on the edge of the box and he sees his first-time volley take a deflection to steer it towards the bottom right-hand corner, but de Gea gets down to make the save.
44' GOAL! West Ham 1-0 Man Utd (Yarmolenko)
Yarmolenko makes it 1-0 to West Ham! Noble squares the ball to Anderson on the edge of the box, and he then flicks it through to Yarmonlenko who takes a touch inside from the right before burying it in the bottom left-hand corner.
That's a fine assist from Felipe Anderson.
48' CHANCE! Mata’s shot inches wide!
Manchester United go close as McTominay plays the ball to Pereira who has yards of space on the right wing, but his teasing ball towards the back post is somehow fired wide of the left-hand post by the arriving Mata. It should be 1-1.
60' Injured! Rashford subbed off
Rashford is unable to continue and he is subsequently replaced by Lingard in the first substitution of the match.
67' CLOSE! McTominay hits the post
McTominay strides towards the edge of the West Ham box and then plays it wide to Wan-Bissaka, but the full-back drives his delivery straight to Diop who is able to make a clearance.
68' CLOSE! Maguire’s powerful strike stopped by Fabianski
The resulting corner is nodded down by Maguire at the back post and McTominay then controls the loose ball before laying it back off to the defender, but his low effort is saved by Fabianski from point-blank range.
84' GOAL! West Ham 2-0 Man Utd (Cresswell)
Cresswell makes it 2-0 to West Ham! The full-back lines up his free-kick from the right-hand side of the box before curling his effort beyond de Gea's reach and into the top right-hand corner!

1) Ole should quit, imagine being a manager of a team with players who have no heart for the club 2) Get rid of Woodward, the money grabbing fool should leave, sold Lukaku only for money and didn't get Icardi or any replacement 3) All of them are blur, blur, blur!!! F*CKING BLUR!!!!

Good things from this game for MUFC fan(Just in case you are in the verge of suicide )
1.Rashford injured..even though He may still come back for next game..
2.We can know happily start fighting for top 10 position.. You know why aim big just to get disappointed.. From now on let's be happy if we just get to draw games..
3.We can be happy Mata, Matic and Young contract ends at the end of the season..

I am blaming Woodward and ole for this loss..Selling players without any back up and not getting enough players especially at midfield is the bad thing happened this window..Ole is not playing youngsters as he said before he is still sticking with players who are not giving 100 percent...I am not seeing any improvement at all.. Oles substitution also getting way late.. don't know why is he not bringing players in when we needed them mostly..Lastly we lost martial, pogba, Shaw, greenwood last few weeks now lost Rash Ford too..I never said this before but for the first time I am saying sack ole and bring a interim coach who likes to play youngsters and play attacking football..Enough of this joke

The biggest problem is they sack the manager(Mourihno) who knows how to win. They sack a manager who is on par with their city rivals manager. Probably the best one they got to get them out of this dire situation. Mourihno knows some players didn't have heart to play for Manchester United. But no one listened. they dig their own grave by sacking the special one.

I dont see anything wrong with the players, i believe they display what they're being taught at training.. we play a very sloppy and at sloths speed. no killer instincts, marking worse, all corners we are not there.. set pieces are just a formality for United we dont know there significance of them. Maguire is alone who knows what set pieces or corners are for, the rest they just rundown the clock. whether we win or lose its business as usual and this REALLY SUCKS#$$%^&$!!!

No martial No pogba No james No greenwood.. Now I can see where man utd need to improve.. They should buy a midfielder and a striker.. Two of their strikers gone(Sanchez, lukaku) without replacement and two of their midfielders gone without replacement (herrera, fellaini) What would you expect? They need urgent replacement if they wants to be like once who they are.. Come on united.. And Yeah the guy with the name ed woodward sucks, everyone knows that.. We shouldn't blame Ole, he did everything in his power and what's right for the club.. Do you Remember what Mourinho blame for his failure at united? None other than the guy ed woodward..

We all know the history of Manchester united.. They are not known for possession but for scoring, especially late winner goals.. That's why they got a name "Master of the late goal" but sad since sir alex left we don't see that much.. I support Ole because he reminds me of his time as a player while he played for Manchester united, I'm 34 years old and i remember him playing clearly.. They need a striker and a midfielder.. But who will convince Ed woodward? The guy holds the power.. Even the special one "Mourinho" once said that the failure behind is none other than the guy Ed Woodward.. He doesn't want united will spend more on players, because that might affect his bonuses..

Ole as lost again. the team aren't behind him the board neglected him... One thing if the board dnt value the morals ethics and high stand you keep and disrespect you in public and seriously give you full support .... how do expect the people under you to. Rashford Pogba De Gea. Maguire. in fact how can you as a manager leak out or tell the press that you Cried to get a defender. I said this once before the is No competition and theres no Captain in the Man United Team. In order to get the team back in same... Rashford bench Greenwood in Lingard in reserves Gomes in Garner Chong and Mctomminy in for Matic Mata. Young Definitely out. Youthful Strong and fast. Midfield bring Mata in 2nd half to control and slow the game down.

like i have said on many occasions that Ole can't take Manu to the next level, he lacks the ability courage experience, capability and knowledge to go against these season well experienced managers of other club's, we should have stayed with Mourinho, had we did that we would have been in a better position today, Manu not going anywhere this season. what Edwood and them really wanted was a manager who says yes to what ever they says, and wouldn't challenge them on signing players, as for Ole he is just grateful to be given a chance to manage such a big club like Manu. so guys don't expect anything more from Manu under Ole, its only when they get a suitable qualify manager then there is hope for Manu.

Until ManUnited is sold & Woodward sacked we will continue to sack coaches after a while. even if we manage to get Pep or Klopp to coach ManUnited, it will still turn out thesame. ManUnited needs to stop being sentimental about British home grown players and start signing creative players from foreign countries. Ole is trying to model ManUnited like 3 Lions when the 3 Liobs are not even in world best top 6 clubs

Ole will got some problem now. last season im backing him to continue as man u manager for at least the first 5 games this season with hope he will bring something new to man u playing style. But seem nothing change at all...the playing style is the same, boring and not effective especially the attacking side. the players quality also totally far lower then the time of giggs, beckham,scholes,keane..playong with top 4 team we still can understand the quality different problem, but playing against middle and lower teams man u also struggle so much. plz.., hope things will change and better soon..

Fair results. I repeat what I said b4 the season start : Top6 finish with olé will be a miracle and said utd will finish behind city, pool, CFC, arsenal, Leicester, west ham and Everton". The other big problem at utd is fans, especially so called legends who asked for José's head instead of Woodward who didn't want to back him as he's doing with olé. Now we have 2 problems at utd, Woodward and olé while the latter was the only one. He denied to buy Bruno who could bring hunger, goals and assists in favour of pogba, Pereira and lingard. He sold 20 goals a season lukaku in favour of overrated rashford. why loan out Sanchez while you still paying much of his salary to stay short of option? Is young better than rojo and dalot? why bench in-form Fred for average Pereira and unhappy matic? Now we found ourselves with lingard as striker, what a joke? bissaka was a good signing but in modern football dalot is better as he gives offensive options than bissaka who can't even cross the ball. olé should be sacked b4 it's late; allegri, spaletti, Laurent blanc, xabi Alonso and Bruno genesio( former Lyon coach) are all available. you can't expect olé to beat west ham when he struggle vs astana. Ole' out please
