West Ham and Newcastle are among the clubs showing an interest in Juventus defender Daniele Rugani.
The Italian champions are willing to listen to offers for the 26-year-old as they look to balance the books.
Rugani, who has been on the periphery of June’s first team, has been offered to Premier League clubs with Juventus hoping to sell to the highest bidder.
Newcastle though are exploring loan deals with their own budget limited following the arrival of Callum Wilson, Jamal Lewis, Jeff Hendrick and Ryan Fraser.
They had arranged to sign Rob Holding from Arsenal on loan before that was put on hold and Steve Bruce sees centre back as a priority before the window closes.
West Ham also have an interest in Italy international Rugani but are juggling a couple of options after their bids for Burnley’s James Tarkowski were rebuffed.
Watford’s Craig Dawson is understood to be one of those of interest but is also on Fulham’s list of defensive targets.

Yeah, Danilo for Cancelo wasn't a worthwhile trade. I agree you didn't say that De Ligt was bad but you said that he didn't performed not upto your expectations and in my case he exceeded my expectations he was thrust into the first team almost immediately and if the harsh handball rules weren't there he would have had a spectacular debut season

Sandro is indeed still performing at high level on a defending aspect. The only time he was liable to mistakes was on the game he was immediately brought after an injury. This was an erroneous and desperate move by Sarri. Cancelo you are judging him based on a few games , I watched the entire season he was here. He was incredible for the first half when he got forward well and attacked but in the 2nd half of the season he became a liability when his attacking output dropped and his defensive prowess was put to the test. Still he was sold very early. De Ligt however exceeded expectations, he came in for an sufficiently covered for Chiellini's absence. Even If you count out all the harsh penalties awarded against De Ligt due to handball, the kid did good in a different defensive system which relied on Zonal marking.

nope dont agree,once sandro was a gem,imo one of the best on his position, now he aint, the end.its not only about goin forward,we have other players servin that role,hes full back, he should defend well,he aint anymore. cancelo is a gem, we lost a lot when we traded him for no good danilo,hes young energetic and creative, did u watch him playin for portugal last time? his game was mind blowin,thats why im bitchin more why we lost him ffs. cuardado is off,yep hes still useful but ffs we need extra class at his position, at least younger one. de ligt imo still didnt provide enough for ma club but still have much hopes for him

Cancelo was never good in defending but in this formation as a wingback he would have thrived. Also without that 30 million we couldn't have signed De Ligt.Let bygones be bygones, Cuardrado is doing a decent job there all we need is a back up to him. Frabotta is showing signs of deserving a place in the first team. Sandro isn't declining he was never that good going forward but he can serve a CB with his defensive prowess or cover the flank as LWB and provide support to CR7 allowing them to cut inside.

Yes, both Danilo and Sandro are capable of playing as CBs so it might serve as an adequate temporary fix.
