West Ham striker Gianluca Scamacca has been dropped by World Soccer Agency.

The agency stated that, although Scamacca wanted to continue with them, 'there was no longer the trust necessary for a healthy professional relationship.'

A statement read: 'World Soccer Agency formally ends its working relationship with Gianluca Scamacca. Although the player expressed a desire to continue working together there was no longer the trust necessary for a healthy professional relationship.

'We thank the player for his time spent with WSA and wish him all the best for his future.'

According to The Sun, Scamacca could now join CAA Stellar, who represent players such as Jack Grealish, Jordan Pickford and Ben Chilwell.

Scamacca signed for West Ham last summer from Sassuolo in a deal worth an initial £30.5million.

After playing regularly earlier in the season, Scamacca's progress was halted by a knee injury and he has been an unused substitute for the last two league games after returning to fitness.

So far this season Scamacca has scored seven goals in 24 appearances for West Ham across all competitions.

The FA Cup fifth round tie away to Manchester United on Wednesday could represent an opportunity for Scamacca to get some playing time.

The 24-year-old's contact with West Ham is set to run until the summer of 2027, with there being an option for a further year.
