West Ham striker Sebastien Haller has flown over to Amsterdam as he closes in on a £23million move to Ajax.
Haller, who only joined the Premier League side 18 months ago for a club-record £45million fee, has scored just three league goals this season.
The Hammers therefore face a £22m loss on the player they signed on a five-year deal from Bundesliga outfit Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer of 2019.
Haller enjoyed two seasons in the Dutch Eredivisie with Utrecht between 2015 and 2017, scoring 51 times in 98 games.
With Haller allowed to depart the London Stadium, Sportsmail understands David Moyes is lining up an immediate replacement.
Bournemouth striker Josh King could fit the bill after struggling for game time at the Cherries this campaign.
The 28-year-old, who has entered the last six months of his contract, has fallen out of favour after he made it clear he wanted to leave the club.
West Ham had a £13m offer rebuffed in the summer transfer window and face competition from Premier League rivals West Brom.
Sportsmail reported earlier this week that Bournemouth have been open to bids but adamant they would not sell any of their assets on the cheap since their relegation last season.

Such a promising team now losing players like Haller, Felipe Anderson and that heady but talented Austrian striker (I've forgotten his name, though) in recent times. Is the club's recruitment policy failing?
They don’t have a scouting or recruiting department like at all it’s all the owner who is trash and agents

The heady guy is Arnautovic. They probably know what they're doing. Haller hasn't justified his fee
