The German has spent the season on loan at Besiktas after losing his place to new signing Alisson last summer.
Karius endured a night to forget in last season's Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid. But Liverpool have the opportunity to redeem themselves this weekend.
The Merseyside outfit reached the final in stunning circumstances, fighting back against Barca to win the second leg 4-0.
And despite watching from afar, Liverpool goalkeeper coach John Achterberg has revealed that Karius was as pleased as any of his Reds team-mates.
The revelation comes amid news that:
“Loris texted Jurgen and myself when we reached the final,” Achterberg told The Times.
“He said he was happy for us and hopes we now win.
“I think that says a lot about him.”
“He is a good guy,” he added.
“He is not a bad goalkeeper, but the situation was not easy for him.
“It was the best solution for him to go and play, rebuild his confidence, and then enjoy his football again.”

He's young and can learn from his mistakes. He will become a great keeper soon.

Loris took Liverpool to the final, but mistakes in the final buried all the good saves he has done through the entire season. Like Messi who is fantastic and almost alone he made Barcelona to win most of the games. If Messi’s goals removed then Barcelona will be in relegation stage in Laliga and will be knockout in the group stage in Ucl. But 2 games he couldn’t make Barcelona win, made him a useless looser with no captaincy according to the football fans. Even though he is the best footballer in the world doesn’t mean he can win all the games. He is so good that fans expect him to win 100%. Which 90% he did win but fans don’t tolerate that much.
