What ball will be used for the 2025/26 Premier League season?

The 2025/26 Premier League campaign is fast approaching and novelties are happening when it comes the the official match ball.

For 25 years, Nike have been the ball's sponsors in the English top flight, producing some of the most iconic and synonymous designs.

However, that will now change with Puma becoming the league's new ball manufacturer.

What ball is being used for the 2025/26 Premier League season?

Puma's Orbita Ultimate PL will be the official match ball used in the 2025/26 Premier League season.

According to the manufacturer, the ball will feature 12 evenly sized panels to ensure its weight is balanced equally.

It is also said to be more durable due to deeper seams, which improve aerodynamics and retention of its shape.

Puma are also the manufacturer of La Liga and Serie A's match ball, while also supplying the Puma Orbita 1 in last season's EFL Cup.

The ball was used for the first time during the Premier League's Summer Series pre-season event in the United States.

What is Puma's 'Have a Ball' campaign?

Puma's partnership with the Premier League also sees the 'Have a Ball' campaign get underway, which is a support vehicle for grassroots football.

The campaign will work through Premier League Kicks, while helping women's football, the international community and the No Room For Racism initiative.

Richard Teyssier, vice president of brand and marketing at Puma, said: "By emphasising the emotional and liberating aspects of playing football, the 'Have a Ball' campaign highlights how the simple act of just having the ball can bring immense joy and excitement. 

"On average, a professional footballer has control of the ball for around 109 seconds every game, so when you have the ball at your feet, you need to make it count and create moments that make a difference on the pitch. 

"We are proud to have some of the best players in the world creating magic moments on the pitch using the new ball.
