Manchester City officially announced the nominations for the October 2026 Player of the Month award, with Elliot Anderson, Haaland, and Foden making the shortlist.

Manchester City won four matches in October, and while many players performed well during this period, Elliot Anderson, Haaland, and Foden ultimately made the shortlist.

Elliot Anderson

The midfielder continued his excellent performance since joining Manchester City and played an important role in October.

He performed outstandingly in the team's 3-0 away victory over Liverpool and maintained this form throughout October.

After several impressive performances, Elliot Anderson finally scored his first goal for Manchester City in the team's 5-1 victory over AEK Athens.

Haaland

The Manchester City number 9 continued his incredible goal-scoring form in October, with the Norwegian striker once again having an excellent month.

He scored in the Premier League victories against Liverpool and Ipswich Town, including a brace against Ipswich Town, and also scored an away goal against Aston Villa.

In the Champions League, Haaland scored two goals against Paris Saint-Germain, bringing his Champions League goal tally for October to 6 goals in 5 appearances.

Foden

Foden began October serving a red card suspension, preparing for the final match of his three-game ban. Upon his return, he was eager to get back on the pitch.

Enzo Maresca had predicted that Foden would score upon his return, and this prediction came true in Manchester City's 3-2 victory over Ipswich Town, with Foden scoring a goal.

Subsequently, Greek side AEK Athens also failed to stop Foden's attack. He scored a brilliant hat-trick in a big win and provided an assist for Cherki's goal.
