Here are your Manchester United morning headlines for Friday, October 7.
Erik ten Hag said Tyrell Malacia and Jadon Sancho were substituted for their lack of movement on the ball rather than their roles in Omonia Nicosia's opening goal.
Omonia took a surprising lead when Sancho's careless pass was met with an errant touch by Malacia, who was dispossessed midway through the Omonia half to spark a breakway that Karim Ansarifard finished in the 34th minute.
Malacia was withdrawn at half-time in the second game running, along with Sancho, for Luke Shaw and Marcus Rashford. Rashford scored United's equaliser and eventual winner in a dicey 3-2 victory.
Anthony Martial scored the 100th goal of his career as he helped Manchester United to victory over Omonia Nicosia on Thursday night.
Martial scored in the second half with a well-taken strike, which was his 100th goal for club and country. The forward now has three goals in just two games after scoring a brace from the bench in United's defeat against Manchester City at the weekend.
The 26-year-old struggled on loan at Sevilla last term, but Erik ten Hag was impressed by his performances in pre-season on tour in Thailand and Australia and the Dutchman made it clear he would have an important role to play in the squad.

I think they should let Ronaldo leave by January his affecting this squad get young sharp striker that Rashford and martial can compete with Erik style is sweetable for the strikers he plays all ball to striker and strike have forgotten what he did to sabisten Haller in ajax and turn him to beast in ucl 2018 I know Rashford and martial will still benefit from his tactics more but get striker than is very more reliable and complete please so we can enjoy this season more full of good football Erik will deliver I'm very sure

Erik is an interesting manager. When someone isn't performing or makes a mistake he doesn't hesitate to sub the player off. No nonsense Lol

Martial will shine under Erik as his style of play suit his formation and requirement. Sancho and Bruno will have to understand his roles in order to shine.
