Kyle Walker and Nicolas Otamendi are not part of the Manchester City squad to face Crystal Palace.
Walker, who was forced off at half-time during the defeat to Wolves with a stomach problem, has taken part in some training during the last week but is ruled out of Saturday's game with an illness that he has been unable to shake off in time for the game.
Otamendi is understood to have picked up a knock on international duty. He played in Argentina's 2-2 draw with Germany last week but was absent for their 6-1 win over Ecuador. The injury is not thought to be serious but is enough to keep him out of this match.
With neither John Stones nor Eric Garcia selected in the starting XI, it means Pep Guardiola lines up with two mdifielders at centre-back as Rodri and Fernandinho fill in. Benjamin Mendy and Joao Cancelo are the full-backs.
Ilkay Gundogan is the holding midfielder with Kevin De Bruyne and David Silva in front of him in central midfield, the Belgian returning after missing the last two games with a groin problem.

Stones is underated asf
It's great to see him back, City needs him and he just needs to stay fit and get his rhythm back.

Pep is a great coach i hope he prove me wrong but i do not understand this lineup/positioning, why not play Fernandinho (i.s.o. Gundogan)with Rodri in Midfield and Garcia or Stones as CB and playing 3 defence without wingback to cover they sure have to kill the game by start scoring early and a lot.Good luck.

Stones just came back from. injury and hasn't found his form, I agree on playing Garcia but the current pairing is all we have for now
You're right about Stones he needs playing time.
