Wolves boss Bruno Lage says the club have slapped a £100million price-tag on Ruben Neves amid rumoured interest from Manchester United, Arsenal and Tottenham.
Neves, 25, is said to be on all three 'Big Six' clubs' radars ahead of the summer transfer window after impressing under Lage this season.
The Portugal international, who still has over two years remaining on his current Molineux deal, has been a mainstay in Wolves' midfield ever since they returned to the Premier League in 2018, scoring a number of spectacular long-range strikes and pulling the strings in midfield.
United, Arsenal and Spurs have reportedly identified Neves as a top transfer target this summer, but Lage claims they will have to pay nine figures to sign him.
He said at his press conference on Thursday: 'We need to be ready for everything. A player like Ruben Neves has a value of £100m. Anything can happen, not just with Ruben'.
Neves has racked up 207 appearances for Wolves since joining from Porto in 2017, registering 24 goals and 12 assists.
His solid performances this term have helped Lage's men keep pace in the race for European qualification, and his compatriot insists he is more than happy with life at Molineux.
'We need to wait for an offer, we don't have nothing, we need to wait for an offer and understand what (will) really happen. What is good for the club, good for the player.
'For me it is clear, if I want to work with Ruben, yes. If you ask the player if he wants to work for me, for sure he will say yes. But this is football and you never know what can happen in the next day.
'We can prepare the best strategy, for what we want, that is the best players on the pitch. I don't have any problem with anyone in that position but if I have everyone available I will pick Ruben.
'It is clear because that's what I did since the first day. He can give us a different dimension. He is a big player and our first choice for that position.'
After spending six weeks out with a knee injury, Neves will not be fit in time for Saturday's clash with Brighton despite returning to training.
