Jurgen Klopp has been teased by Wolves on Twitter following Liverpool's miserable 3-0 defeat to the Wanderers on Saturday afternoon.
The Reds' boss was left with 'no explanation' after his side went down inside five minutes, with Joel Matip scoring an own goal before debutant Craig Dawson smashed a loose ball past Alisson Becker to give Julen Lopetegui's side a 2-0 lead.
After a poor first half, the Merseyside club came back after the break to press on the home side, who expertly soaked up the pressure. And it wasn't long before Wolves got a chance of their own, launching a counter attack on the visitors that saw Ruben Neves score his fifth goal of the season.
It was a frustrating afternoon for Klopp, who was critical of his own team's performance, but also claimed after the final whistle that Wolves' third goal should not have stood.
'The third goal I don't count because it was the first time they passed the halfway line in the second half,' he said. 'The other two goals, going into a game with all the things we said during the week and before the game, then this is the start, is horrible.'
And Wolves have taken to twitter to tease the German manager, sarcastically posting an image that jokes they only won 2-0, while chalking off their captain's third strike in response to his claims that the goal should not have stood.
Fans on social media have been lauding the Wolves' social media administrators, with some saying 'give the Wolves' Twitter admins a raise' while others jested, 'give them three more points.'
It's not the first time this season the club's social media accounts have had Twitter users laughing, with the Wanderers' social accounts mocking a Tweet by Nottingham Forest back in October following their 1-0 win against Steve Cooper's side.
Forest's social accounts had posted an image before the match of Emmanuel Dennis playing with three baby Wolves before the match, that was captioned: 'Playtime.'
After their win, the Wolves admins jokingly hit back posting an image of an image of a tree stump with an axe in it, with the caption: 'Playtime is over.'
But it seems they've been back up to their old tricks, with fans labelling their post an 'unreal tweet' with others claiming 'the Wolves admin continues to be the GOAT.'
It was a disappointing afternoon for Klopp, who's side have now not won in their last four Premier League games, with this being their third consecutive away defeat.
He said: 'I have no explanation for you, I'm sorry. It needs to change.
'These first 15 minutes cannot be allowed. It needs to change. I have no explanation. There is no excuse for it.
'Everton won today and they are in a good moment so we have to prove a point again.'
'We caused the misery with the first 12 minutes. It cannot happen but it did. That is really tough to swallow.
'You're 2-0 down, the crowd is there but it opens up and we get some control. Then for about 45 minutes we play a good away game without scoring. That sums it up pretty much.'
Wolves, meanwhile, have not beaten the Merseyside club since 2019, and Julen Lopetegui was very happy with his side's performance.
'Happy of course,' he said on the result. 'We need wins to achieve our aim and today we played a very good team.
'Against these kind of teams you have to be very close to perfection if not you don't score and sometimes it's not enough.
'We try to defend well, be aggressive and match them with the ball. It's not easy, it's easier if you score quickly as we did today but in the end they are three points.
'We haven't done anything yet, we have hard work ahead of us, the injury was a pity with Hwang Hee-chan but after we will try to be ready for the next match.
'I want to highlight the team in general. They have played in a very good way and we tried to match Liverpool. We suffered when we had to, playing against one of the best teams. We are happy today.'
