Work on the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu has at least two more years to run until the new-look stadium is ready, but changes have sped up during football's break.
After a first phase of conditioning the stadium and collapsing a corner outside, work is becoming increasingly visible.
As shown on Twitter, the roof has practically been completely removed and the new towers on the west side are starting to be constructed.
Work is continuing on the other side too and two towers will soon be built.
Each tower will be used to provide support for the new contractable roof.
LaLiga Santander's break has allowed the pace to pick up, with speed increasing by about 50 percent.
