Kylian Mbappe led France to an entertaining 2-1 win against Denmark in their World Cup Group D clash on Saturday afternoon.
His Les Bleus team-mates Adrien Rabiot and Antoine Griezmann also impressed - as did Denmark's Christian Eriksen - but Andreas Cornelius struggled on his return to Kasper Hjulmand's side.
Here, Sportsmail's Oliver Holt and Max Mathews rate and slate players from both teams after the encounter at the 974 Stadium in Doha, Qatar.
FRANCE (4-2-3-1)
Hugo Lloris - 7
Confident under high balls and covered his goal well. Had no chance with Christensen's close-range header.
Jules Kounde - 6
A reasonably solid performance after replacing Benjamin Pavard. Did not get forward as much as Theo Hernandez on the other side.
Raphael Varane - 6
Looked fairly comfortable despite coming in after a month or so out injured. With Les Bleus already qualified, he may be treated carefully in the final group game.
Dayot Upamecano - 7
Almost nothing got past him. Uses his body really well when he needs to - but his positioning and anticipation means he often doesn't have to.
Theo Hernandez - 7
A strong performance after replacing his brother. Helped assist Mbappe's opener with a lovely move down the left.
Aurelien Tchouameni - 7
Quietly did a lot of the typically underappreciated 'dirty work' in midfield but also started the move that led to Mbappe's first with a nice outside-of-the-foot pass.
Adrien Rabiot - 8
When he was good, he was great. Nearly scored the goal of the World Cup with a super improvised scissor kick. But lost Christensen for the equaliser.
Ousmane Dembele - 7
A thorn in the side of Joakim Maehle, he was a strong creative outlet before fading in the second half.
Antoine Griezmann - 8
Not always involved but when he was, the Atletico Madrid star showed several lovely touches. A classy, elegant footballer who knits the French attack together.
Kylian Mbappe - 9
Only two men have scored seven World Cup goals by the age of 25: Mbappe and Pele. What fantastic company to keep. Unplayable today.
Olivier Giroud - 6
A surprisingly subdued performance. He will need to improve to break Thierry Henry's all-time goals record.
SUBS
Thuram (for Giroud, 63) - 6
Showed some lovely moments of skill but did not impact the play enough in his half-hour on the field.
Konate (for Varane, 75) - 6
Stepped in competently to give Varane a rest.
Coman (for Dembele, 75) - 6
Part of the build-up to Mbappe's second, he cleverly left the ball for Griezmann.
Fofana (for Griezmann, 90+3)
SUBS NOT USED
Mandanda, Areola; Pavard, Disasi, Guendouzi, Kolo Muani, Veretout, Saliba, Camavinga.

Didier Deschamps.
DENMARK (3-4-2-1)
Kasper Schmeichel - 7
Commanding as ever, he was a little unlucky that Mbappe's first nicked off Christensen - he probably would have saved it otherwise.
Joachim Andersen - 7
Got outpaced by Mbappe a few times but who didn't? Defended manfully and flicked on powerfully for the equaliser.
Andreas Christensen - 7
Showed sharp instincts in the box to nip in and score. Marshalled the defensive troops well.
Victor Nelsson - 6
A more mobile replacement for captain Simon Kjaer, he took a couple of knocks early on which hampered his showing.
Rasmus Kristensen - 7
A brilliant nutmeg on Hernandez was unlucky not to result in a chance. Delivery from the right was often dangerous.
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg - 7
Hojbjerg did what he does: breaking up play, passing it on. Must be horrible to play against.
Christian Eriksen - 8
Mixed his passes beautifully and so aesthetically pleasing when in full flow. The best player for Denmark.
Joakim Maehle - 7
Tried his best against the twin forces of Dembele and then Coman. Tried to get forward as much as he could.
Jesper Lindstrom - 6
A subdued presence in attack but had one effort straight at Lloris.
Mikkel Damsgaard - 6
Floated in and out of the game, helped set up Lindstrom's chance - but didn't do much else.
Andreas Cornelius - 5
A disappointing day for the strapping striker. Had one chance and blazed it wide. Hooked at half-time.
SUBS
Martin Braithwaite (for Cornelius, 45) - 6
Looked brighter than Cornelius in his second-half cameo. May have done enough to start the next game.
Kasper Dolberg (for Damsgaard, 73) - 6
Put in a nice cross for a Braithwaite chance. Technically good but struggled to adapt to the pace of the game.
Christian Norgaard (for Lindstrom, 85) - 6
Tried to tighten things up in his 10 or so minutes on the pitch.
Alexander Bah (for Kristensen, 90+2)
SUBS NOT USED
O Christensen, Ronnow; Kjaer, Jensen, Skov Olsen, Stryger Larsen, Wass, Wind, Poulsen, Skov.
