HOLLYWOOD club Wrexham want to outbid Italian side Parma in the chase for Jordan James.

French side Rennes will sell the Wales midfield star to the highest bidder.

And Phil Parkinson’s men may pay more than the Serie A outfit, who won the Uefa Cup in 1995 and 1999.

Championship rivals Ipswich are also keen on 21-year-old James.

But Wrexham — owned by superstar acting duo Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney — are in the mood to see off all bidders.

James joined Rennes for £4million from Birmingham last summer.

He penned a four-year deal with the French club.

And James went on to star 25 times in his debut season.

But the 20-cap Wales ace now looks set to leave.

Former Arsenal assistant Carlos Cuesta is keen on signing him for Italians Parma.

But a move to Wrexham could be James’ preferred choice.

The new Championship outfit have been busy in the market this summer.

Fellow Wales stars Nathan Broadhead, Kieffer Moore and Danny Ward have already made the move.

While big fees were also spent on the likes of Callum Doyle, Lewis O’Brien and Conor Coady.

BEE KEEPERS

BRENTFORD may look to  swoop in with a £3.5million bid  for Derby No 1 Jacob  Zetterstrom.

The Bees see the  6ft 6in Swede, 27, as perfect competition for ex-Liverpool keeper Caoimhin Kelleher, 26.

The Republic of Ireland stopper signed for £12.5m in a summer  move.

And Botafogo keeper John Victor, 25,  is wanted by Turkish side Fenerbahce — after West Ham opted to sign Leicester’s Mads Hermansen for £18m instead.

WAT A WORLD

WATFORD have Blackburn contract rebel Dominic Hyam in their sights.

The Hornets are keen on the Scotland centre-back  whose talks over a new deal have stalled.

And Blackburn may opt to sell Hyam, 29,  at the right price now  rather than lose him for nothing at the end of the season.

PAUL THE OTHER ONE

BLACKBURN would like to bring Dapo Afolayan back to English football from German side St Pauli.

The 27-year-old forward is a starter for the Hamburg outfit but could be prised away for around £2million.

And the former Bolton man, who spent two years with the Trotters,  can play out wide or in the middle which suits the Rovers’ needs.

CEL CALL

BOLTON will not give up on Celtic striker Johnny Kenny.

Wanderers plan a final move to land the 22- year-old who has signed an extended deal since they began their pursuit.

But he could yet be tempted to move.

WHAITE A MO

BLACKPOOL new boy Billy Whaite made one fan very proud when he signed.

Striker Whaite, 17, picked the Seasiders ahead of several clubs.

That was great news for his dad David who is a season-ticket holder at Bloomfield Road.
