Zaha set to snub Saudi interest as he seeks to remain at the top level

Wilfried Zaha is set to rebuff lucrative offers from Saudi Arabia as he sets his sights on staying at the highest level in Europe.

Crystal Palace forward Zaha is due to become a free agent this summer, and has an offer — as revealed by Mail Sport — from Saudi League leaders Al-Ittihad for a staggering £9million a season after tax. Cristiano Ronaldo’s new club Al-Nassr have also shown interest in him.

But Zaha, 30, is not considering a move to the Middle East at this stage of his career. Recovering from a groin injury and a strong finish to the campaign are his priorities and he wants to continue playing in one of the best leagues.

Zaha’s situation is being monitored by foreign clubs including Champions League quarter-finalists AC Milan and German title hopefuls Borussia Dortmund.

His ambitions, meanwhile, could alert Palace’s Premier League rivals, with Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea having been linked with him in the past.

A big-money offer from the Eagles worth nearly £200,000 a week, including bonuses, remains on the table.
