Neymar shows off his ripped physique in Instagram post from Brazil training

Neymar has again poured scorn on claims he is 'out of shape' and 'overweight' by posting Instagram pictures of his ripped physique during a training session with Brazil.

The Paris Saint-Germain star's fitness levels was criticised by fans and media in France after a picture of him shirtless on a yacht surfaced online.

Neymar, 29, was on holiday at the time following his exploits for Brazil at the Copa America during the summer and hadn't at that point returned to pre-season training with PSG.

His late return from the tournament meant Neymar has only played 66 minutes in PSG's opening four Ligue 1 fixtures.

But that was still enough time for the French media and fans on social media to mock him for being far from peak condition after he played just over an hour in PSG's 2-0 victory over Reims.

And he was 'fat shamed' again after he played in Brazil's 1-0 win over Chile in a World Cup qualifier.

He responded initially by explaining that he wore a larger shirt than usual while playing for Brazil, which might have made him look bigger than usual.

Neymar wrote on his Instagram stories that he was wearing a 'size G' (large in European measurements) and insisted he is at his normal weight.

He added he would ask for his usual 'medium' size for his next match, his message accompanied by multiple laughing emojis.

And in a further Instagram post over the weekend, he added four topless pics showing him flexing his muscles on the training ground.

It was accompanied by the word 'Uรฉ' which translates into English as something like 'huh'.

Among those who commented with a string of laughing emojis were PSG strike partner Kylian Mbappe and international colleagues Vinicius Jr and Marcelo.

Brazil take on old rivals Argentina in their next World Cup qualifier on Sunday and then conclude the latest trio of internationals with a match against Peru in midweek.
