Sergio Ramos returns to PSG squad after two-month absence

Sergio Ramos has been included in Paris Saint-Germain's squad for their clash with Lorient on Sunday night, having spent over two months out with a calf injury.

The Spain legend has barely played since his summer move from Real Madrid, managing only four Ligue 1 appearances with just two coming as a starter.

He last played in January's 4-0 victory over Reims, during which he scored his first PSG goal, and the club confirmed on Sunday that Ramos was part of the squad for their evening game.

Elsewhere, Angel Di Maria will miss out with a muscle injury, while Marco Verratti is due to resume training this week and is not in the squad.

However, heavy-hitters Kylian Mbappe, Lionel Messi and Neymar are all included as PSG look to increase their lead at the top of Ligue 1. Their advantage over second-placed Rennes is already 12 points, though Marseille could come within nine points of Mauricio Pochettino's side should they beat Saint-Etienne before PSG take on Lorient.

PSG sporting director Leonardo admitted recently that the signing of Ramos had not gone "as imagined", though the 36-year-old still has another year to left on the deal he signed in the summer.

The French giants only have the Ligue 1 title left to play for, having been knocked out of both the Coupe de France and Champions League in embarrassing fashion.
