France boss Didier Deschamps has said that the announcement of his departure following the 2026 World Cup has ‘not changed anything‘ during his reveal of the 24-man Les Bleus squad that will face Croatia in the Nations League quarter-finals at the end of March.
It was the first time that Deschamps has appeared before the press as France manager after making his announcement at the start of January. The 2018 World Cup winner qualified his comments on his future as a “non-announcement” during his press conference transcribed by Get French Football News. “It hasn’t changed anything at all, for me it wasn’t a big announcement. It’s very good that it is like that.”“I have the same energy, and determination to keep the French national team at the level that it has been for years. There will be an aftermath, but I’m not worried about that for the moment. I want to maintain the same determination and keep performing well.”GFFN | George Boxall.
