Real Madrid youth player Víctor Muñoz has disabled the comment section on his social media after missing a clear one-on-one chance in the 89th minute of El Clásico — a chance that could have brought Madrid level against Barcelona.
The 21-year-old forward, born in Barcelona, made his first-team debut for Real Madrid on Sunday. His first touch in the senior squad nearly changed the outcome of the match.
However, after missing the opportunity, Muñoz’s social media was flooded with abusive messages from angry fans, prompting him to turn off comments.
Muñoz previously played for Real Madrid Castilla under Raúl, where he scored 10 goals and provided 7 assists, often rotating between striker and winger. Known for his speed and dribbling ability, Muñoz has been a promising talent in the academy.
Interestingly, he was born in Barcelona and began his youth career at Damm before joining La Masia in 2011. He played for Barcelona’s youth teams from 2014 to 2017 before eventually making his way to Real Madrid.
Despite the backlash, many believe this moment will be a learning experience for the young talent.

They need to leave the boy alone. Mbappe, Vini and Bellingham that the world isn't ready for couldn't do much for 4 games so it's not that boy that will change their fortune of failure. At home Away Far from home Far away from home... 😂🤣
