Kylian Mbappe is the most valuable player in Europe with teammate Neymar dropping almost out of the top 20 after recently losing up to €90 million in his transfer value.
If there was any chance of PSG selling Kylian Mbappe this summer then it's likely that the phone at the Paris club's offices wouldn't stop ringing for offers, because he's literally the most valuable player in Europe.
According to transfer boffins CIES Observatory, and their algorithm, the 20 year old is currently worth €252 million in the transfer market, €32 million more than second placed Mo Salah.
Raheem Sterling is the only other player on the list worth more than €200 million with Lionel Messi in fourth on €167 million and Jadon Sancho rounding up the top five on €159 million.
Age obviously plays into Mbappe's billing as top of the charts way ahead of Lionel Messi, as well as the fact that his contract has two extra years on that of the Argentina superstar, so it's not a reflection of the best player necessarily.
Premier League clubs will be very happy to see so many of their players fit into the top 10 and they make up many of the next 10 as well.
It's in that 10-20 bracket that both Neymar and Cristiano Ronaldo sit with it being revealed this week that the Brazilian had lost up to €90 million on his valuation just since the start of 2019.
Ronaldo's age no doubt adds to his value being as low as €118 million, although it's still more than what Juventus paid for him last year so they got a bargain.
Liverpool's Trent Alexander Arnold is the most valuable defender right now and teammate Virgil van Dijk is second on that list in 22nd overall, worth €112 million, just ahead of the goalkeeper union's most expensive player Alisson, worth €107 million.

Sometimes I wonder at these transfer money, I have a question for PSG. Can Mbappe score directly from the dressing room? That is the only reason they should pay 235m Euros to sign him

To everyone who think manage can’t play against the best, Mbappe has shown he can play against the best in the champions league. He’s scored 14 goals and created 10 assists in the champions league in 25 matches(overall 1,895 minutes) and he’s only 20!! That’s by far the most goals and goal contributions any player has ever had at this age in the champions league. If you go by goal contributions(goals and assists) he contributed to a goal in the champions league every 86 minutes!! He’s already proven he’s going to be one of the best in the world. Also look at the World Cup where he was fantastic.

They take into account age, current contracts, minutes played, goals, assists, international status and club's results to determine a player's ranking.

He is still young compared to them all, and he actually deserves it for now, Ronaldo and Messi will always be priceless to me, but mbappe is promising.

Currently due to his age and achievements it is obvious he should be on the top but after seeing Mbappe's performance in recent fixture of France against Turkey. I feel he is not a class material like Cristiano and Messi.

These money will be the downfall for mbappe tho, Too expensive, still got alot to prove... but anyways, hope money does not ruin his career like Neymar tho...all the best young lad.

Soo Man City has 3 players worth 474m together which basically is how much City spent to rebuild the whole squad. Brilliant team management and brilliant developing by Pep. Other teams have spent similar sums and would certainly be taking a loss if they sold their players. Hate all you want but the fact is City have done incredible work from the top management down. 👍

This is obviously correct. Mbappe is the most valuable player in football right now. He's an elite superstar talent... At 20 years old. Even if you signed him for 250 million, which is damn ludacris, if he plays for you for 10 years, you know, til he's 30 and still capable of playing at the top level for a few years yet, thats 25 million a year from your transfer budget for a guy that would most likely bag you at least 30 goals every season. I'm not saying he's the best player in the world, that Messi and Ronaldo are even on this list at their age, Messi coming in at damn 4th!!! is a testiment to their quality. A 32 year old in 10 days and a 34 year old have NO right to be on this list but they are still two of the best players world wide even at their age, Messi got more than 70 goals and assists in the 18/19 season for god sake. No one was even close to touching that. But. The closest was the most valuable player in the world, Kylian Mbappe. And I know people will say he plays in Ligue 1 and yeah, that's fair but he was the equal top goal provider in the Champions League despite being the only player on 5 assists to go out at the knock out stage and he's the only player who came close to Messi's staggering 73 goals and assists last season, Mbappe himself getting 56. For comparison, Lewa had an amazing all round season last year and managed 53. Ronaldo was named Serie A player of the Season and he only managed 41. And the Egyptian Magician Mo Salah got 40. Yes there is differing levels of competition there but Messi was the UCL and Europes top goal scorer, Mbappe was his only Competition for the European golden boot and Mbappe came up with the most assists in the UCL campaign. All at 20. That's how amazing this kid is. He gets better every year and we can expect that to keep happening for the next few years. His potential is honestly terrifying. So yeah, he definitely deserves all the pludits and he's definitely the most valuable player in world football right now.

Being the most valuable player at such amount might affect him. Imagine him being in a club and he's not enjoying the game there and he wants a move away, how many clubs will be willing to pay such amount to get a player? that price tag would be a disadvantage to him, he might not be able to play for the club he love if they can't afford the money. He is just too expensive.

He’s not beaten them . It’s his time . If at the ages of 32 and 34 Messi and CR7 are still playing at the top flights trust me no one has beaten them . Mbape must be encouraged to to follow their steps rather than making his head swell .

Please Messi is 32 and Ronaldo is 34 let's allow them to rest and let's leave them out of some things. Mbappe beat a whole lot of people in that list and there are 3 people between him and Messi and a lot more between him and 34 year old Ronaldo. There's more to football than Messi and Ronaldo and we are getting past their era so when a person beats a record compare him with everyone and not only Messi and Ronaldo. All football and other news sites be like "Loris Karius has now made more mistakes in a final than Messi and Ronaldo"
