I very much doubt that would be a wise investment for the average clubs. Placing all your money in one basket is not the most intelligent investment, but the Qataris have more money than you can count. Liverpool have rather invested in scouting, targeting, sustainability and building for the long term. Not that they have not spent big on VVD or Allison, who have already proved worth every penny spent. I don't know if Neymar deserves his price. At the end of the day if someone's pocket is deep enough to pay, then there is a market and he must think neymar is worth the price. But definitely the resale value will not reach this level.

Neymar is one of the most marketable athletes in the world. In terms of financial profit ,psg have already recovered the money they invested on him .From increasing shirt sales massively to getting new sponsors,because of neymar,PSG are considered one of the best teams in Europe. If it were not for him they would have been knocked out of the UCL group stages last season.His per game stats with psg are better if not similar to those of Messi and ronaldo.If it were not for his injuries psg would have at least reached the semi finals last season. Injuries are not his fault , no one can blame him for that. I can assure that if he stays healthy this season then psg are definitely going to triumph in ucl; then, this bias against him would finally be over
