Nobody questioned the Belgian’s managerial credentials when he moved to Bayern, but taking on such a behemoth was still undoubtedly a test of those credentials. He has passed with flying colours. Bayern are entertaining to watch but have retained their winning formula, attaining a Bundesliga title in 2025/26 and DFB-Pokal success. A classy defender in his day, and now a classy touchline technician.

Luis replicated the huge success of 2024/25 with PSG by topping Ligue 1 and retaining the Champions League.

And somehow you’re trying to explain how we could make it to a UCL final after spending all those previous years suffering because we didn’t have enough quality or professional players? Yeah… something definitely doesn’t add up with you 2008 kids. Let me guess—you’re a Madrid fan, right? Then why don’t we talk about how you lot actually won those UCLs? Should we remove the five UCLs you won back when some of the strongest professional clubs today weren’t even competing in the competition yet? Or maybe we should talk about all those questionable offside goals that somehow seemed to go your way. And while we’re at it, let’s talk about how some of those UCL campaigns looked less like football and more like a survival match—especially with players like Pepe and Ramos playing as if their mission was to put Messi in the grave rather than stop him from scoring. If we supposedly had to “pay the refs,” then how did we still manage to win 5 UCLs while having plenty of genuinely world-class, professional players over the years?
