Fans have described West Bromwich Albion as Thiago Silva's 'bogey team' after another horror show against the Baggies.
The Chelsea defender made his debut for the club earlier this season in September 2020, making several mistakes as his side went 3-0 down at half-time before eventually clawing their way back to draw 3-3.
In the reverse fixture on Saturday afternoon, Thiago once again struggled on his return to the side, and was sent off by referee David Coote for two bookable offences inside half an hour.
His dismissal was just the second of his 456-game European career, and the first since a red card for Paris Saint-Germain against Valenciennes in May 2013.
With the 36-year-old veteran off the field, Sam Allardyce's side made hay and eventually won 5-2 with doubles from Matheus Pereira and Callum Robinson plus an Mbaye Diagne strike.
