Alexis Sanchez took to Twitter to categorically deny reports that he had placed a £20,000 bet on Jose Mourinho being fired at Manchester United.
Manchester United striker Alexis Sanchez has denied reports that he made a £20,000 bet with team mate Marcos Rojo on Jose Mourinho’s sacking from Manchester United.
This Friday, British tabloid The Sun published an “exclusive” story that claimed that Sanchez, currently recovering from an injury in Chile, sent a message to his Manchester team mates on WhatsApp that suggested he had won a bet on Mourinho being fired.
“I told you so!! Patience is all it takes. Marcos you owe me £20k,” Sanchez reportedly wrote in a WhatsApp group made up of Manchester United players, apparently “revelling in Mourinho’s demise”, as The Sun claimed.
Since the British tabloid broke the story on Friday morning, it has been picked up by media outlets worldwide, much to the frustration of Sanchez, who took to Twitter this Friday evening to say the reports were false.
“This is FALSE!!! José gave me the chance to play for the best team in the world and I only have gratitude for him. We are a truly United team. We are MANCHESTER UNITED. Respect. I can't wait to help the team!. Good luck tomorrow family!,” tweeted Sanchez, who reportedly was one of the players in the Old Trafford dressing room to have a frosty relationship with Mourinho.
Sanchez’s denial came after further reports about the Mourinho-dressing room fall out, this time by another British tabloid The Mirror, which claims that four members of the Manchester United team informed club's executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward that they would look to leave in January if the Portuguese coach was not removed.
The paper referred to 'senior club sources' speaking about a 'toxic' environment around Old Trafford and this is why some of the stars in the team took direct action in order to have Mourinho removed.

Some of you just conclude as though you don't know the English media... They would continue to use Mourinho's sacking to formulate fake news that sounds real as a result of the rift between Mourinho and players /the board as deduced from Mourinho's public statements while he was at the club. We should expect more of such news to continue till the end of the year, because the media will continue to fish out any controversy implied by Mourinho throughout his stay at United and turn it into a fake news that would sound real. All those stuff shouldn't be an issue to United fans, because our concern should be on seeing our team improve and achieve something tangible at the end of the season... tomorrow when United faces Cardiff we'd be hoping to see a liberated team with energy and focus. Also we hope to see a redefined structure soonest at the club we would always love.

No team in EPL should give him that chance again! He doesn’t respect players, Manchester United should have sacked him long time..Now our players can play and feel better.
