Jurgen Klopp has taken a cheeky swipe at Pep Guardiola, pointing out that the Manchester City boss hasn't reached a Champions League final in a while.
Guardiola claimed winning the title is more important than European success, suggesting he will have done a better job this season even if Liverpool do go on to win the Champions League.
But Klopp has hit back at his rival, pointing out that he's failed to reach the Champions League final for a few seasons now.
"Pep has to say that (winning the Premier League is more important than Champions League) as he hasn't been in the Champions League final for a while," said Klopp.
"He is a great manager and deserves all the praise he gets. We tried to win the Premier League this season. City were a better team. But there's another competition we're in."
Liverpool had to overcome a seemingly impossible semi-final second-leg clash against Barcelona after losing 3-0 in the first fixture at the Nou Camp.
But the Reds pulled out all the stops to run out 4-3 winners on aggregate and progress to the final in Madrid.
Reminiscing on the spectacular result, Klopp added: "Barcelona was the best game I ever saw. Players missing and already 3-0 down, if we'd have won 2-0 or 3-0 it would still have been a fantastic achievement.
"If I see we are in the right mood then I can be relaxed (on the touchline)."

In my opinion Jurgen Klopp is better Manager than Pep because of what players Liverpool had when he took over. He is a bit unlucky not to have won silverware thus far. Pep had the luxury of buying players without selling any other players. He brought in Ederson,Danilo,Fabian Delph, Laporte,Mendy, Stones, Walker, Zinchenko, Foden, Gundogan, Mahrez, Bernardo Silva, Sane and whereby Klopp brought in Allison and Van Dijk from Coutino money, Fibinho and Keita was from the money the generated in the season, Salah, Mane and Robertson was a bargain and Arnold is from the acadamy, Shaquiry 12mil pounds Milner for free and Henderson us playing within himself and oh yes the money they got for Sakho. Also Remember what he did to Dortmund world class players. I wonder what Pep would have done with Liverpool with a budget like that. Like I say Klopp was really unlucky as a Manager. Jurgen Klop is the better coach than Pep Gaurdiola. Gaurdiola can't reach UCL final with Bayern + City Klop did it with BVB and now Liverpool. Klop I salute you're a true coach. Gaurdiola almost got sacked at Bayern for not going to the final Man City will do the same thing they'll sure sack him by 2021

If winning trophies 🏆 Are done by hullabaloos and talking nonsense on social media, like Liverpool won so many trophies in the last 10 years. Yet no single trophy 🏆. Liverpool fans are only good bragging, counting their old trophies, living in past glories, talking nonsense about other clubs they jealous, look the cost of your players compare to Man City. Yet you can’t even conquer your domestic league. You are proud for being in uefa finals. Your coach has been there for more than 3 seasons no single trophy 🏆. Pep came in 3 season with average players he transformed them to world stars and winning 6 trophies. Pep never been to finals and lost he will surely wins the trophy. What of Klopp. How many finals has he been to and lost it?

Honestly they're both very good coaches...I'd like to see Klopp coach city and so will most Liverpool fans, pep has just lost his luck in UCL and Klopp to has lost luck in finals. Either way Pep could still boast of 2 UCL trophies. But still, they're both great, don't try to twist facts in another's favor. Some say Pep spends but come on...really? City's highest signing is £60 million. This is called wise investments The other big clubs like man u, Barca, Real Madrid, PSG spend far more than city. Just due to recent successes at the club people have started hating city for being successful. Even Liverpool can boast of the most expensive defender so please ya'll should shut up about oil money and that nonsense...we never over spent, we spent when we needed to, nothing else.

Pep has bought all the success he is having. He went Bayern he found them winning the league and cups all they wanted was Champions League trophy and he bought all players he wanted did he win it? And then he went to Manchester City they have been champions of England and they also bought players for them to win the same cup, but did they? I agree with the other Klopp is better than Pep in everything and if he had the money and squad like the one Pep has, oohh myyyy he would get every cup there is to fight for. Pep can pretend but we know how much he wants the champions League cup but that one is only for big boys. Viva Liverpool and Viva Klopp!

Klopp is a good coach to Guadiola no doubts about it.. Guadiola won so many titles due to his spending power if he was in klops shoes could've failed miserably...
Spending money doesn’t say much because you can spend a billion dollar an still don’t win shit.. at the end of the day it all come down to how the coach jell is players an the work the put in on the pitch

Lol.... Neutral outsider with a Liverpool logo.. By the way, you're right. Klopp is better manager than Guardiola because he has won more trophies than Pep.
